Thank you for visiting our little corner of the world! When they say opposites attract, we definitely fit the mold – I’m Jen, the creative “fluffer”, and he’s my husband, Rich, the numbers geek. Together, we’re passionate about being surrounded by things we love and have been inspired by some amazing places we've had the great opportunity to call home over the years –San Francisco, CA, Lake Tahoe, NV, Barcelona, Spain and now, Durham, NC.

Interestingly, our job paths have been as varied as the places we've lived –we met while working catering at the Ritz Carlton, then while living abroad we taught English to business executives of Fortune 500 companies, next up was Rich starting his own bookkeeping solutions company while I worked for 8 years as a market researcher for an independent firm here in Durham. 

All of this varied experience combined with an obsession for home decorating and a wonderful mentor (my mother-in-law, who has had her own successful furniture store for more than 15 years) lead us to our next adventure we call, Vintage Home South. In our shop, we hope you feel inspired by our refined-casual style, our ever-evolving store environment and our passion for superior customer service.

When we’re not at the shop, we can be found romping around with our sweet pups, Hammy and Tupelo (aka - vhs shop dogs) noshing at the latest local eateries, scouring flea markets and antique shops for anything that inspires us, and just soaking up the loveliness of this area –you truly can’t find friendlier people than you do in North Carolina and that’s an amazing reason to celebrate living here, every day.
